Forgot to Winterize My bike... Come spring drain the bowls, turn the petcock to prime for about 30 seconds, and drain them again. That should clear any loose deposits out of the bowls. Repeat until nothing is floating around. You did use Seafoam or Stabil in the gas I trust. Add it, run for a few minutes, and drain the bowls. An oil change should be done before storing. Some do another in spring. At least checking it would be good in case the petcock leaked (removing the line makes sure this isn't an issue) and gas seeped into the crankcase. Your carbs have the overflow ports, so that isn't likely to happen, but never hurts to check. Might want to squirt a little oil through the spark plugs if you didn't fog the cylinders before starting. If the plugs need replacing wait until after it has run for a bit (the squirt of oil will coat them a little). Drain, flush, and fill the cooling system while you are at it. Use coolant with no silicates. After that check to make sure the cooling fan works by idling until the gauge hits the red area. If it goes past check the fan and sender. Check the air filter and consider replacing the final drive oil. For that semi or full synthetic is best. Going from dino to semi-synthetic reduced the housing temperature after a ride to the point where I could hold my hand on it. Will see how much full synthetic changes that. Don't think I need to mention cleaning, waxing, and polishing. 8-) Jeff "The Mountin Man" - '86 MaximX
