The Boston Acoustic Dash Box Farkle This is the box that I designed to cover my electronics on top of my MR Communications shelf. It secures my GPS, my Valentine, my Valentine audio remote, my Valentine display remote, and my power splitter from prying eyes and Canadian authorities. The box sports two "speakers" from Boston Acoustics that have a light fabric cover on the front allowing radar AND laser signals to be read by the V1. The front of the box has a lightly smoked plexiglass window covering the V1's front facing antenna, again allowing for radar and laser signals to be read by the V1. I did notice a slight degredation in signal strength while the V1 was set at "Advanced Logic" mode. But, resetting the V1 to "Automatic" or all signals cured those problems. Several riders quizzed me about the box but seemed satisfied with my answers. The questions? "What will you tell the Canadian cop that stops you and asks what is that little box under your GPS?" I take it off if stopped. "What is that little wire left dangling there then?" Oh, that goes to my "speakers" but they're no longer working as they got wet so I unplugged my tape player.
