Schubreth Concept Helmet review by Joe Zulaski, 2001 The Schubreth helmet has many great features. There is the integral sun visor that slides down with the touch of a finger. The external visor has extra adjustments for allowing more ventilation into the helmet (both sides can pop forward to provide gaps between the visor and the helmet). The flip-up latches are metal, not plastic and are operated with one hand. Ventilation is great - you can actually feel the top vent pushing air over the top of your head. With the vents open in a very heavy rain, there was no water leakage. With the vents open in said rainstorm, there was NO fogging. An optional anti-fog visor is available (similar to a fog city but built in and removeable). Very light weight and comfortable. The helmet's outer shape is designed to reduce buffetting through the use of a "spoiler" molded into the back of the helmet. The ONLY knock I had for this helmet was that the push button release strap tended to rub on my neck after a while. And, I think that this is just an adjustment problem that I'll be able to work out. I would recommend this helmet over every other helmet I've tried for LD Riding - including the Bombardier that I've touted so much.
