Joe Rocket Speedmaster Glove Review I currently have the Joe Rocket Speedmaster gloves - the ones with the kangaroo palms. These gloves are great. Relatively cool because of the knuckle vents and relatively warm. I rode with them today and it was about 43 this morning - no problems. Rode with them early sunday morning over Donner pass and got down to the high 30's - no problems. I have waterproofed mine, but haven't tested them in the rain. Be warned - that Joe Rocket is currently changing these gloves as the racers think that the Kangaroo skin stretches to much. The are moving to some other leather. I did not find that they stretched much at all. In fact I bought XL which were just a tad small - figuring that they would stretch. I had a small box cutter cut in mine and had them replaced with XXL which are perfect. Enough room so that there is some air movement generated by the knuckle vents. Haven't gone down in these, but if the racers think they are good enough, then they are good enough for me. Haven't tried the version of the Held gloves that you mention, but in the past I've found Held gloves to be high quality. Assuming that they are of the same design and same quality, then it might come down to which fits better. I'm very happy with the JR gloves - Thanks Warchild for turning me on to them. The knuckle protection graphite looks like it would be very uncomfortable, but they actually are very comfy. I like 'em a LOT> chuck h IBA # 197
