Using the Morgan Carbtune Synchronizer (2)

The following is by the listed author. If you are the listed author and have a question, please contact the editor of this site at will@mylanders.com

Really simple....Make sure bike is warmed up so go for
a half hour or so ride before hand...

1) Get syncronizer
2) Remove tank (I pull the fairing paniers as
well..but this is optional)
3) Pull off vacumn lines on carbs 1&4 and the vac line
that drives the petcock on #2..there is a cap on the
vac nipple of #3 remove this as well..the "nipples"
that these are on, are where you hook up the
syncronizer gagues
4) Hook up the syncronizer to these nipples (1 to 1 2
to 2 3 to 3 etc..)
5) Start motor (you may need an aux fuel supply..I
just hook a really long hose to my tank and run the
petcock in prime..if you are fast enough the fuel in
the bowls is enough,,,
6) Turn adjusting screw for carbs 1&2 until the gagues
are even,,then do the same for 3&4...once they are
even the center screw (*you will need a LONG
screwdriver to reach it*) to sync the 2 sides to each
other..
7) Put on tank and schtuff
8) Go ride~! :)

Morgan Carbtunes can be directly purchased from Carbtune.com:
 http://www.carbtune.com/

Around $50 pounds sterling, or $75-80 USD / Euro, depending
on rates.

The Carbtune 2 uses stainless steel rods to measure the synch
rather than mercury. Much less risk than mercury!
