Rear Wheel Removal Tips Well, with a bit of tips from the COG group, I got the rear wheel removed all by myself. The hardest part was finding the 27mm socket for the axle bolt. Much easier than pulling the front wheel. Took a total of 90 minutes, inlcuding driving to three parts stores looking for a 27mm socket. Finally found it at O'Riley auto parts. Took the wheel down to Cyclops Cycle, where I got their last D205 tire. $139, plus free mounting. A tad bit more than mailorder, but accroding to other folks, the D205 is sold out. Tips: When rocking the bike up onto a 2x6, you only need to raise the right side of the centerstand. That'll allow you to get the wheel past the fender. You only need to pull the right side muffler, you can pry the left side high enough to remove the axle. Be gentle when removing the caliper - the one brake pad will fly out if you aren't... So, tomorrow, I'll have a brand new D205 on the rear to match the one on the front. Woo hoo! Too bad it'll be wet the rest of the week, so I won't be able to really give it a work out. I'll snap some photos when I reassemble it and put em up somewhere.
