Cruiserworks Boots review

Just found some great boots after searching all over the USA for some. I
have a size 15 foot and nobody it seems carries large sizes in a decent,
waterproof, easy on/off boot that you can also walk in.

BMW and SIDI both only go to 12.5, Alpinestars are either too small, have
stars plastered all over them or are made of molded plastic. All the other
majors were also too small.

I finally tried the Aerostitch touring boot in size 14 - after hearing it
was made by SIDI, waterproof, and cut on the large size. It arrived today
and, after squeezing my foot into it, it felt like someone had hammered a
six inch nail into my heel.

Well, after placing my order with Aerostitch I happened across an add for
"Cruiserworks." Turns out they're here in Charlotte, NC so I gave them a
call. Not only were their boots waterproof, they slipped on and off (as
opposed to laces, velcro etc) and they come in a wide 15 (as well as making
small models specifically for women). I drove out to the showroom, tried a
pair on and they fit perfectly.

They get rave reviews from everybody it seems, MCN, Rider, etc and I can
see why. They're without a doubt the most comfortable pair of boots I've
ever tried without having to break in for weeks first. You can walk in
them all day, they're bone dry in the wet and look great. The only
criticism I have is that they do not come with the extra piece of leather
on the left boot for toe shifters. (I'm imagining that's because they
first targeted Harley riders who predominantly have heel/toe shifters). I
did ask the woman in charge and she said they get requests for it but it
would involve stitching into the leather and messing with the integrity of
the waterproofing.

Anyway, the cost was around 230 but I also bought the cream you must use on
them (silicone and regular shoe polish will eat into the waterproofing
agent they use) and they include a small flashlight for your key chain and
a shoe horn.

I would just like to say I have no interest in the company, financial or
otherwise etc etc but I do remember seeing members on the list say that
they had big feet and didn't know whether or not anyone was aware of these
guys.

If anyone needs their number or address please let me know and I'll forward
it on.

Regards
Big Nick
