logowill england :: preparedness : vaccinations

From misc.survivalism:

Get your essential vaccinations. Go to your doctor. Go to your county health clinic. Tell them you and your family are being transferred to Afghanistan for a year to work for the Peace Corp, whatever.

If you don't get your vaccinations soon, they won't be there when you really want them. Something as simple as a Cholera vaccine (which costs about $10 may save your life or your children's lives.

I had Cholera. I won't say where because it was during my Ops lifetime, but I can tell you straight, that it's very easy to get it, and very easy to die of it if you aren't being treated.

With most hospitals either shut down due to infrastructure problems, or their own systems problems and the disruption to the pharmaceuticals's supply chain, something as easily treated as Cholera could kill your entire family right in front of your eyes. I am dead serious on that point.

Get your vaccines. Get all of them you may need, for the disease of war, the diseases of poverty, the diseases of social breakdown, the diseases of high density population:

Cholera, Typhus, Typhoid, Menangitis, Polio, Pneumonia, Influenza, Smallpox, Measles, Tuberculosis, Hepatititis ( the full range, A thru Z), Tetanus, etc, etc.

You can probably get all of them for less than $150.

Not much to pay to save your family's lives.
